Cold hearted employees that lie to you

I was just on the phone with a employee from Binder & Binder she was very rude to me! She kept telling me I needed to go to a dr. or they wouldn't help me she wouldn't listen to anything I had to say. I was in tears by the end of the phone call. She lied to me and told me she would put me on hold and talk with her supervisor and look over my case 20 seconds later she came back who can look at a case and talk with a supervisor that fast. Bottom line they don't want to represent or work to hard for anyone the commercial is a huge lie don't waste your time with these heartless employees that don't seem to know what your talking about.

The worst!!!

I'm not kidding. Do NOT have this firm handle ANYTHING re: your disability unless you want to start the process all over again.

My case was actually taken over by a new firm and I have gotten more phone calls from them in the two months that I have been with them than the six (wasted) months that I was with this worthless firm.

They never return your calls to let you know the status of your case or send out any paperwork to the Dr that you are in contact with. I personally went to each Dr and handed out the necessary paperwork (which I had to call and ask for) please take my advice and find someone, anyone else.

Guest

They have downsized the company so much that all and I mean all the caseworkers are over worked and does not have time to service the clients. You can check with the labor board of how many employers that has applied for unemployment since this new year stated.

In the past 4 months from the Bronx office alone it is about 30-40 people. This is not included the many other offices through out the states. Over worked and pissed off employees product very poor work to say the least. The caseworkers caseload has tripled and they can not handle the hundreds of clients that they have.

Ask your caseworker how many clients do he/or she has. Ask her how often and the last times they have even worked your case. Downsizing a company to save them money that they already have just to line their pockets, makes them not care about the clients needs. Suggestion go to a more caring company.

Fire B&B quickly, you are just a number to them.

Guest

My experience with them is VERY BEST . They worked hard and fast to see judge and we won first time .

No delays, not any problems, very professional from day one to end .

I won bevause I am really sick . Thank you B$B .

u must work for these idiots!

stop coming on here posting phony praises!

Guest

Oh, that's how Social Security decides if you're disabled or not-you need the medical records. Unless it's really serious (cancer, blindness, etc.) or you're actually dying.

The judge will want the most recent medical records possible.

If you can't pay for the records-ask for them for free. If you can't afford a doctor, you *must* look at free clinics or state services!

I have hired binder and binder for my disability claim so far they seem very incompetent and useless. they have screwed up my medical records info by not getting them in a timely fashion and have not been helpful in any way they are idiots!! I have a case worker not a lawyer. I really believe that they just file so many cases that they plan to lose a bunch. it is a numbers game with them they do not care about their clients at all. they are totally useless. i waish i had hired a real lawyer instead of these ***

They SUCK BIG Time! I'm an Internist who DOES disability in the Carolinas and I TELL ya go with the local (hopeully Not) yokels.

THESE shysters are spoiled and get their business from TV ads for the naive. I got a guy with Bad seizures mental illness etc etc. I grant you he didnt follow up right but after YEARS of paperwork it was mucked up so badly that the Judge in Charleston Denied him.

THis guy cannot work and if he DOES he will be the first to "Go Postal" at work. Not Good at all

I am currently trying to get B&B to take my case it has been 4 mths and I have sent all requested docs and just keep getting letters stating I havent sent all of my paperwork. MY current attn, royally screwed up my appeal and the appellate level told him to send my current med rec.

and he did not he just put my file on a shelf, its been a yr now and the case has now been sent back to the original ALJ. NO WORD, my case could have been approved last Jan?

In reading comments people talk about getting a new attn but never sat WHO? Can anyone refer me to a good attn in San Diego??

Guest

Get out and away from them before to much time goes by. In three years, they couldn't get my husband, an amputee, disability with 20 lbs of medical records and a medical evaluation from a doctor they sent us to that we had to pay for. After loosing Charles Binder wrote that he felt my husband didn't have much of a case to go to the Federal Level, well we found they discourage people to go to the Federal Level because it ends of proving their horrible mishandling, when an ALJ uses words like "clearly disabled" you know what you knew all along they mishandled the case.

My husband won at the Federal Level but it took two years of pain and suffering longer. We shall be ever grateful to the law firm that helped us. If you would like a copy of my last letter to Charles Binder, that one that he said he couldn't take seriously, I would be glad to send it.

There are good caring lawyers out there find one quick. Good Luck, Nancy kc5iwt@***.net

Binder & Binder, a warning to all!!

I am currently employed at Binder and Binder and want to warn anyone considering working for the company or using them for your disability case. First i'll let you know how Harry and Charles Binder treat their employees then tell you why the employees working here say we would never recommend Binder and Binder to anyone needing representation for their disability claim. Let me start by pointing out how ironic it is that the company that is supposed to fight for it clients right for disability and continued health coverage does not provide affordable health insurance to its employees. They do "offer" health insurance after 90 days but for a single employee the deduction per paycheck is $180.00. That is $360.00 per month out of check. With the average starting pay for the majority of the employees being $12.00 and hour that is not possible for most therefore the majority of employees do not have health insurance. This is on top of $12.00 per paycheck union dues that you are required to pay and ofter times more is deducted "accidentally" and getting it corrected is difficult as the company has no human resources department and does not provide you with telephone numbers for anyone at the union. As an employee you are required to work 36 hours a week in order to accrue sick or vacation pay. Therefore if you are actually sick one day before you have "earned" for the current month or need to take a few hours off for a doctors appointment or to care for a sick child then you don't "earn" any paid time off the following month. Additionally if you call in for the day because your child is sick you will not accrue as the company policy will not pay you your sick pay unless you are actually sick and have a doctors note stating so. This means that an employee could realistically work an entire year without earning any sick or vacation pay. This hardly seems legal but when you try to discuss it with management are told "if you don't like it then leave". Employees are required to punch in and out on a time clock. If you ever forget to punch in or out correctly you are suspended for a day without pay. If it happens a second time you are suspended for 3 days without pay. Three times and you are "fired". If you punch in 1 minute after you are supposed to you are docked 15 minutes from your pay however should you work 15 minutes after your supposed to you are not paid for it. The company does not offer performance evalutations therefore raises are only given once a year during the month of October. If you have not been employed for one year by that October you must wait the next October before you can get a raise. So if you were hired in November as I was you must wait 2 years for a 50 cent raise. You are told as an employee that should you ever be "let go" Harry Binder will fight your unemployment insurance even if it means having to go to court and that you as the employee will lose. Also if you quit the company even in good standing they will not hire you back as a "policy". This really isn't a problem as no one who quits ever tries to come back. There are so many questionable policies the company practices however I will tell you what will happen to you should you decide to use the company for your disability claim. First let it be know that Binder and Binder is considered the McDonalds of disability firms as they are all about numbers and will take pretty much any case whether it be a good one or not. This has a negative affect on you as a client as most case workers assigned to assist in your claim have over 300 clients. What this means to you as a client is that your case will more then likely not be worked on for months at a time. Therefore by the time a client gets scheduled for a hearing before a judge your case does not have enough evidence to win your case. Secondly with the above mentioned horrible company policies the employee turnover is so high that you may literally have 5 or more caseworkers assigned to your case causing evidence to be lost and cases being ignored until another employee can be hired to work on your case. This is just the beginning, I will continue this later so look for more to come soon.

Yea, they give that BS speech to everyone about the breaks bc they go w the flow of it but if anyone looked up the state laws or ever knew who the "shop keeper" of the Union(if there is an actual Union) things would have to change

Aleena Asc

I have a case pending at the judge level. I thought that was the last level but reading the comments, it's not.

What can I do to ensure this gets approved or what can I do to stop the case? It's coming up on 2 years and I'm tired of them hounding my doctors. I can sense my doctors are getting tired of all the request by their comments to me.

What inside information can I use to motivate binder and binder to get my case approved? Help...

Fee petition or waived due to you feeling you are not getting the assistance needed.

Guest

don't waste your time with binder and binder. they do nothing for you and you never hear from them. so sorry we started with them in the first place.

Guest

Everything mentioned above is TRUE. 100%. The union is ***, the Manager and Deputy Manager of the Hauppauge Office are very unprofessional and Chuck and Harry dont give a *** about their employees.

Guest

I was an employee in New York City. The review is very accurate, but I have more to add. They took away the breaks for the employees. It was stated that the HR dept would have trouble calculating the figures. However, the California offices had breaks because it was required by state law. The problem was that the union, which the employees paid dues to, didn't fight this. One of the problems was that the union representatives were the supervisors, who would not fight for the employees' rights.

Also, there are a lot of ex-felons working for the company. That's one of the reasons they can treat people like ***. The ex-felons are too happy to have jobs in which they can sit at a desk.

The company is also has racist hiring practices. The Writers are all white. There was one East Indian lady, who was a writer. Charles Binder harassed the black lady, who ended up quitting. In the meantime, the white

Writers treated the Case Managers like peons. All the supervisors of the Case Managers were Latinos.

In the office manager's office (who did not have any HR background) there were 6 huge television screens in which she monitored all the activities of the employees. It was a horrible work environment. :sigh

Guest
reply icon Replying to comment of Guest-553477

This is actually true. It was basically segregation.

But the writers all acted like open minded inclusive liberals. I got the feeling the only minority group they actually accepted was homosexuals, and only white homosexuals.

They were a really wierd bunch of liberal hipster discriminators. That didnt realize they were ultra conservative hacks that had a few *** friends,

Guest

Thanks for the inside info. on B&B.

I was about to make the call and after reading this I think I just avoided a train wreck! So sorry for all your troubles with these creeps.

Guest

everyone knows the more times you get denied the bigger you first check is when you get approved... as you receive a retroactive payment from the first time you applied therefor the bigger your check the bigger cut they get out of it. once again corporate fat cats munchin on the souls of the poor and disabled...

Binder and Binder are the worst. I would never recommend no one to them. They don't return phone calls. They don't keep up dated about your case. Some of the people working there act like they don't know what they are doing. I went to them back in 2010 and my case is still going on. I met my attorney the day we were supposed to go into court and got the worst representation I have ever had. She didn't have all my records. I didn't meet her till the day we were doing in court. She didn't know anything about me and I didn't know anything about her. They SUCK!!!!!

They won't work for you, you have to do your own work.

I called to hire them to help me with filing for disability. I seen their adds for a long time and I became disabled do to a work related job and thought of them. WHAT A JOKE! I was told that I would first have to get all the paperwork myself and have all my doctors send them all my records. And was told also that I would need to go and get second and third opinions.of course out of my pocket. So I called another attorney and he told me just bring what I had and he would get everything he needed to handle my case. And he did. No money out of pocket, no chasing down doctors and my case was settled and I am on disability from SSI. These guys are only out to pad thier wallets. they don't care about you. Don't hire TV lawyers, They are ambulance chasers and Binder and Binder are the worst.

They are nothing but liers

Specially when it comes to working for them, management is the worse. If you hire them please search other options, I was a caseworker there and believe me is not worst your time or money!!!! There's only few lawyers and they take for ever to review anything. As employers they are very very bad, they treat employees like nothing and like they don't care, client's are never satisfied after a hearing because they never win any case, probably 1 out of 10 cases. Back to the employees, do not apply there, they will take you and treat you good then let you go like they don't know you no matter if your job was great.

I totally agree the Philadelphia office is poorly run and Binder and Binder doesn't keep employee's due to lack of respect. Binder has very few REAL LAWYERS due to HEAVY TURN OVER /.

BINDER WINS VERY FEW CASES AND WILL LOSE YOUR PAPERWORK.

YOU'LL HAVE AN ADVOCATE FOR AN ATTORNEY AND NOT EVEN KNOW IT! BEWARE BINDER HAS GONE DOWN HILL FOR THE LAST FOUR YEARS THIER LOSING SIX OUT OF TEN CASES!!!!!!

After waitingtwo years for a hearing regarding my disability and with 10 days to go to that trial, I was called today, just before 5PM by Binder and Binder's representative (Beatriz) to let me know that my case was being passed on to another representative at their firm yet again. I don't know anything about this person that is going to be representing me, let alone their name or credentials. They also don't know me either. I am very upset as Binder & BInder just seems to care about their fees and to *** with the customer. I wouldn't mind taking this to another level to let America know what a travesty this is to people trusting them and paying a hfty fee for their help. If I ever need legal help again for anything, I will NOT call Binder & Binder.

Having worked for one of the finest attornies in the State of Florida for several years, and having come in contact with a few like your descriptions of B&B, it saddens me that a few bad firms can reflect on good firms who do a really good, thorough job for their clients. Just because they advertise on TV, does not mean they are good attornies. Check with your local Bar Association before hiring an attorney.

Binder and Binder mishandled my husband's SSD case

Updated by user Apr 22, 2012

As I keep checking postings about Binder and Binder I see that what we experienced keeps happening again and again. When my husband went to court with their \"lawyer\" the \"lawyer\" just sat there and said nothing.

From the other postings it proves more and more that they use the same procedure for everyone no matter what the disabilities are. If it works for one out of ten they just don\'t care as long as they get paid.

As an update to my posting, I e-mailed B&B and let them know that this site was my street corner for getting my message out (like I said I would in my last letter to Charles Binder). I still have not received a response.

Updated by user Mar 25, 2012

I am happy to say that I am receiving responses to my posting. Many have requested copies of my second letter to Charles Binder and I hope its contents have helped and that you all have given copies to your friends or anyone you think could need help.

I have tried to answer each request and the questions asked as best I can. My heart goes out to all. I have stated in my responses, there are good lawyers out there and if you have been turned down keep on trying even if you have to go to the Federal Level. If you keep seaking justice you will received it.

I had told Charles Binder in my second letter, if the only compensation we receive is keeping one person from making the same mistakes we did that will be compensation enough.

We have exceeded that goal. Good Luck to all of you.

Updated by user Feb 24, 2012

Some how my complaint was listed twice, the complaint under this one shows me as Anonmous. If anyone would like a copy of my second letter I can be reached at kc5iwt@***.net, I will be glad to send it.

Original review Feb 23, 2012
I have been trying to for almost a year to get answers from Charles Binder about B&B's mishandling of my husband's SSD case. I hold B&B accountable for the prolonged paid and suffering that my husband and myself went through during over a 5 year period. The only response from the second, very detailed, letter that I received from Charles Binder was that he couldn't take anything I wrote seriously because I was not the client my husband was, although my husband was very much aware of these letters. Basically he said he would not respond to any more letters and just to get on with my life. We felt all along that something was wrong, but it took going to the Federal level to find out the extent. When a United States District Judge remand a case and makes statements like "Clearly disabled" you know something was very wrong. B&B does not encourage going to the Federal level and when they do not win your case they say everything very politely. You see they don't handle cases at the Federal level because they feel it is to much work. Through a law firm friends lead us to my husband's case was won with the same medical records that B&B had. I wish I could send my second letter, it says it all, and I would be glad to send it to anyone who is interested in reading it. I plan on giving a copy to anyone who would even think of using B&B so no one else is hurt like we were.

B&B has a very different meaning that I can not disclose on the Web, by law. They are very misleading, crooked, unprofessional and something needs to seriously be done with them, by the law.

I had to fight my casse myself. At the Hearing the the ADJ had more information on me than the I don"t know who this person was they dug up, had. I proceeded with the Judge and professionals. The person they sent never spoke a word on mybehalf.

Long story short, they got paid for work they did not do. Now, I have another fight with them. I am already overwhelmed with troubles.

Anybody out there, please don't let this happen to you! It is a bad feeling!

I agree with all that are pissed off at this company. The people who work for the company are no less informed than you are. If you have a disability that is a reason to go out and get a job. If you stub your toe and sign up for disability, you are rewarded kindly. I think anyone applying with binder and binder and social security SSI etc. Should take that persons job away and leave them penniless. The company needs to be revoked. they do not help in any way possible. Only the ads seem promising. I was turned down due to memory loss but told ss could find me a job. I need compensation. NOT a JOB.

Hi I am writing in regards to my case pending with your company. I am sorta neutral but getting extremly upset at the amount of time it has taken. I received a call in January 2012 stating my hearing was close in coming... It is now May 10th 2012 and no progress. I am now awaiting 2 new surgeries and unable to work at all at this time. One is on my right hand and the other is on my disc degeneration of my L4-L 5 on my right side. If I had not been told in January of the closnes I would have not had expectations. I need to pay rent as well as other bills. While raising a teenage daughter.

If you are still waiting, I disagree with the person who wrote the first comment. It is Binder and Binder that is the problem.

I can send you a copy of a letter that shows the nightmare they put us through. B&B handled my husband's case for three years and got him turned down three times. We ended us taking his case, with the help of friends, to another lawyer that took it to the Federal Level. Charles Binder said after three years that he,mind you an amputee with all sorts of physical problems that it took 5 surgeries to correct and twenty pounds of medical records to prove it, didn't have much of a case, when a ALJ at the Federal Level said "that he is clearly disabled" it just confirmed the mishandling by B&B.He finally after 5 years of pain and suffering won,we are ever grateful to the lawyer that helped us.

My complaint about B & B are listed under Upset Wife and the Anonymous just under that complaint if you would like a copy of my last letter to Charles Binder, the one he said he couldn't take seriously I will send it to you.

Seeing what we went through might help your fight. I can be reached at kc5iwt@***.net.

If you are waiting for disability Binder & Binder are most likely not the problem. It van take years to get approved depending upon your states backlog.

A good way to get the ball rolling its to wright your congressional representative and explain your situation with your permission they can look into your cases progress with SSA I have seen firsthand how this can help move the approval (or denial) along. Good luck, I hope things work out for you.

Binder And Binder... Don't have a clue of what they are doing....

In November of 2010 I made the mistake of hiring Binder and Binder to file and hand for me my claim for Social Security Disability. It was over 90 days from my first personal visit before I hear anything other than to acknowledge my new address and advise that a different office would be handling my claim. Over the course of the next 90 days I went thru 3 different case workers, as I was constantly being lied to as to why my case was not progressing. At one point I asked for the phone number and name or names of anyone in the Home Office that I could talk with regarding my lack of trust in the way my case was being handled. I was lied by case workers and so called supervisors that "we" are not able to talk to anyone in the New York office, that an email would need to be send requesting "they" contact me. When I asked again for a phone number, I was told it was against company policy, just as it is against company policy to every correspond in writing to me. No letters No emails, only phone calls whenever there was something to advise me about. When I said I thought that to be funny, as their receptionist gave me the number with out any problem, I was told, "we will have to look into that. However when I called the "Home Office" number, and told I was talking to the personal secretary of one of the attorneys in New York, I later found out , I had been transferred back to California, they tried to lie again about that... every step has been like pulling teeth with Binder and Binder, they NEVER once got any medical records of mine, ALL medical records, I myself had to get for them. Instead of waiting til they had ALL the medical records to prove my claim, they kept sending in bits and pieces, which only takes longer for a case to be evaluated. Even Social Security said my case took way longer than it should have because of they way they received my medical information. When awarded SSD, the amount was incorrect, because again, Binder and Binder didn't submit information they had received from me, they lied saying they never got. DONT USE EM, DONT TRUST EM... VERY BAD UNPROFESSIONAL COMPANY WITH NO BUSINESS EITHICS.

Binder and Binder... Liers.....

Never ever use this company... They are all about " GET THE MONEY" and to *** with the customer. They have no idea what they are doing and will lie over and and over to try and cover up the fact that they staff their offices with uneducated individuals that couldnt find their *** with both hands and a shovel. They treat you like they are doing YOU a favor by even talking with you. If you really need SSD and have medical records proving your case. Your local SS Office will assist you in all you need to do, AT NO COST! And without a doubt a lot less headaches. If you do need to appear in court for a final outcome of your case.. Hire a "real" repubable attorney, not these two monkeys with their dog and pony circus act. By all that is holy, stay away, far far away from these idoits.
